hi Lisa! the very lovely botanical illustrations on my header and border are by the absolutely fabulous illustrator, Laura Stoddart. i was smittened with her work since the first time i saw it grace a Crabtree & Evelyn box.

for such powerful blossoms, it is amazing how delicate these blooms really are. you're totally right Flighty... after one rain they're gone (along with my Oriental poppies). but while they are here, WOW!

The peony is such a beautiful bloom.
Alas where I live it is too hot for them to grow.
