Oh, I remember this red cover from the book required in school. I wanted to keep mine but they were school property and reused from year to year. I eventually purchased my own hardcover copy and it resides in my bookcase of classics. I may just pull it out and read it again in remembrance.
this is actually my mom's old copy from 1965. not only is it an incredible story, but the designer in my also loves the sheer simplicity of the cover design. Mr. Salinger will be missed.
Oh wow! 1965?! What a treasure you have. Not only because of the age, but because it was also your mom's copy. The pages must be nice thick paper. I too love the simplicity of the cover design.
