10 minute observations... Okay, so effective today, I shall officially rename my "weekly wine walks" to "10 minute observations." For the next two months, I've rearranged my work schedule so that I'm in the office from 6am-3pm. Though the 6am part is sounding a bit daunting, the bonus is that I get the honor of greeting my six-year-old as he leaps off the school bus after a long day of first grade. I basically have 10 minutes from the time I get home from work until the school bus arrives, so given that it is now dusk out by 4:30pm, I'm thrilled to now have 10 minutes each day to get outside with my camera and reconnect with the changes that are slowly unfolding.
Today's observations were guided by Boyd, my four-year-old field guide/chief carrot harvester. Without further ado, here are today's observations.

A nice walk, esp with your boy to help you. Great vignettes of winter.
Can you stil have your wine? Good for you for being able to adjust your schedule. Those carrots look so delicious and I enjoyed the "walk."
i know, i kinda miss the wine part of the walk! i have a feeling i'd get a nasty glance from the bus driver if i waited with a pinot grigio in hand at 3:30 in the afternoon :)
