sunset tour of casco bay... I've gotta say, the $49 I spent on the Casco Bay Sunset Kayak Tour, given by the folks at the L.L. Bean Discovery School, was the best investment I've made in a long time. I can't describe a more relaxing way to spend a few hours after work. L.L. Bean provides the kayak, paddle, life vest, and gear (all the way down to the shoes). All you have to do is show up.

We spent three amazing hours casually paddling amidst the islands that create the Casco Bay. As you pass lobster boats and buoys, your guide calls your attention over to the great gray rock mass covered in harbor seals. We even took a little break on a sand bar for some cider and trail mix. As the evening fell, we simply lit the lanterns in the bow of the boat and paddled back under the moonlit skies.
